  1. Power down device. Remove SIM Card and Tray.  Place both in COMPARTMENT A.

  2. Insert a guitar pick at the bottom of the SIM tray opening to begin removing the battery cover. Continue peeling the battery cover away with your fingers. Place the battery cover in ZONE I.

  3. Remove eleven 3.8 mm #00 Phillips screws (silver).  Place in SLOT 1. Remove one 2.5 mm #00 Phillips screw (black).  Place in SLOT 2.
    • Remove eleven 3.8 mm #00 Phillips screws (silver). Place in SLOT 1.

    • Remove one 2.5 mm #00 Phillips screw (black). Place in SLOT 2.

  4. Wedge the flat end of the spudger under the right edge of the rear housing.  Slowly twist the spudger while lifting the housing with your fingers. Place rear housing in ZONE II.

    • Place rear housing in ZONE II.

  5. Use the spudger to disconnect the battery.
    • Use the spudger to disconnect the battery.

  6. Lift the loudspeaker & antenna housing away from the phone. Place in ZONE II.

  9. Lift the short board on the left side of the daughter board up and away from the mid-frame. Lift the short board on the left side of the daughter board up and away from the mid-frame.

  10. Use the blue pry tool to disconnect the three cables pictured.

  11. Pictures 1 & 2: Use the blue pry tool to gently lift the top half of the daughter board up from the mid-frame. Picture 3: Continue lifting just the top half of the daughter board up. Don't try to remove the bottom half of the daughter board just yet.

    • Don't try to remove the bottom half of the daughter board just yet.

  12. Picture 1: Pinch the daughter board near the bottom of the battery and continue lifting it away from the mid-frame. Picture 2: It may get stuck when you reach the microphone socket.  Use the pointed tip of the spudger to lift the microphone. Picture 3: Make sure the tiny black microphone cover stays positioned over the microphone.

    • Picture 2: It may get stuck when you reach the microphone socket. Use the pointed tip of the spudger to lift the microphone.

    • Picture 3: Make sure the tiny black microphone cover stays positioned over the microphone.

  13. Place daughter board in ZONE III.

  16. Use the blue pry tool to disconnect the front-facing camera. Finish removing it with your fingers. Place in COMPARTMENT B.

  17. Disconnect the rear camera cable. Disconnect the sensor cable.
    • Disconnect the rear camera cable.

  18. Picture 1: Pinch the logic board with one hand while lifting the top-left edge with a blue pry tool. Picture 2: Use both hands to lift the logic board slightly. Picture 3: Move the logic board away from the top of the phone and over the battery holding area.

  19. Place the logic board in ZONE V.

  20. Pinch the rear camera cable and lift slowly.  Wedge your pointer finger under the camera as you peel up the contacts. Place the rear camera in COMPARTMENT D. Place the rear camera in COMPARTMENT D.

  21. Seat the rear camera from COMPARTMENT D: Place the contacts first, then continue seating the camera. Place the contacts first, then continue seating the camera.

  22. Replace the logic board from ZONE V: Make sure no cables get trapped as you move the logic board into place. Make sure the logic board is properly aligned as you gently push it into place.

  23. Seat sensor cable. Seat rear camera cable.

  24. Replace front-facing camera from COMPARTMENT B: Place it in the socket and connect the cable. Place it in the socket and connect the cable.

  25. Replace the battery from ZONE IV. Replace the battery from ZONE IV. Replace the battery from ZONE IV.

  26. Replace daughter board from ZONE III: Push the microphone into its socket first. Make sure the display cables don't get trapped under the daughter board as you push the bottom into place.

  27. Seat the top of the daughter board on the main logic board. Seat the three cables (red squares) shown in Picture 2.

  28. Pictures 1 & 2: Seat the short board on the left side of the daughter board.  Make sure the tiny black tab protrudes through as you use the tip of the spudger to push it into place.   30. Replace loudspeaker & antenna housing from ZONE II: Snap it into place at the bottom of the phone.

  31. Connect the battery to the logic board.

  32. Replace rear housing from ZONE II: Snap it into place at the top of the phone.

  33. Replace one 2.5 mm #00 Phillips screw (black) from SLOT 2. Replace eleven 3.8 mm #00 Phillips screws (silver) from SLOT 1.

    • Replace eleven 3.8 mm #00 Phillips screws (silver) from SLOT 1.

  34. Replace the battery cover from ZONE I: Snap the top and bottom into place.  Check around the perimeter to ensure all edges are snapped into place. Snap the top and bottom into place.  Check around the perimeter to ensure all edges are snapped into place.
    • Replace the battery cover from ZONE I:

  35. Replace the SIM Card and Tray from COMPARTMENT A. Power up and test the device.
